Custom commands
Create responses, nickname actions and role actions for your server’s shared custom command.
Set this up for your server in the dashboard. Open the dashboard
Create and use a command
- Open Dashboard, choose your server and open Custom commands. Add a definition with a name and, optionally, a group.
- Add the actions you need: reply, send to a channel, change a nickname prefix, assign a role, remove a role or toggle a role.
- Check action order. Choose one response at random picks one reply from the response actions; other action types still run. Save the definition.
- In Discord, choose
/custom commandand select the saved name. Test with the intended member roles and channel permissions.
Limits and permissions
Ordinary servers can save up to 50 definitions; premium servers can save up to 200. Each definition supports up to five actions. The editor shows your server’s applicable limit.
For role or nickname actions, both your editing permissions and Aymeric’s permissions are checked. Never offer a privileged staff role through a command intended for everyone.
Choose who can use the command in Discord’s Integrations settings. Because all definitions use the same application command, Discord cannot give each saved name a separate command-permissions entry.
