Welcome, alerts and auto delete

Welcome new members, assign joining roles, post activity alerts and delete messages on a timer.

Set this up for your server in the dashboard. Open the dashboard

Welcome new members

Open Welcome & onboarding in your server dashboard. Choose the welcome channel, message or embed and mention behaviour. The form lists the variables supported by that message.

You can also choose roles to assign when someone joins. Give Aymeric Manage Roles and place its role above the joining roles. Save, then check a real member join; saving alone does not post a welcome message.

Alerts and auto delete

Open Alerts in your server dashboard to post member joins, leaves, bans, unbans and voice activity, each to the channel you choose. Keep those channels visible only to the people who need them.

Open Auto delete to remove messages in chosen channels after a set delay. Review it carefully before saving: it deletes real messages. Confirm Aymeric can see and manage messages in each channel you choose.

Common questions

Can Aymeric give roles when someone joins?
Yes. Choose joining roles in Welcome & onboarding on your server dashboard. Aymeric needs Manage Roles and a role above each role it assigns.
Where do I set up alerts and timed deletion?
Open Alerts in your server dashboard for member and voice activity posts, and Auto delete for timed message deletion. Review Auto delete carefully, because it deletes real messages, and keep alert channels restricted to the people who need them.
